BALTIC MILL,
ARBROATH
Baltic Mill is Category A Listed Mill in the center of Arbroath. It was originally built as a Weaving Mill for Andrew Lowson, an important figure in manufacturing during the 19th Century. Latterly the Mill was used as a whiskey bond but this ceased in 1990 and the building became derelict. In 2018 Cullross and Hillcrest Housing Association worked together to secure the future of the Mill and convert it into residential accommodation.

The converted Mill was handed over to Hillcrest in February 2021, providing 24 new apartments along with high-quality external spaces. The project was recently shortlisted at the Scottish Home Awards 2021 in the Renovation of the Year Category.
